When planning a fundraiser is easy to get caught on things that do not do all that much difference in the outcome of the sale. Here are five things that are to be taken into account in planning your fundraiser, make a difference in the benefit of their school. Here are five things that a school or group can do that mainly affect how much money was raised with new funds: Step # 1 – Share of profit does not equal profit. A company offering 90% profit compared to a company that offers 20% profit is not necessarily a better deal for a school. Remember that the school can not put in the percentage of your bank account, but are permitted to deposit money. Most schools look at the percentage of profit as a priority in choosing what they will gather again for their next fundraiser. What I am saying here does not mean that the percentage of profit is not important but should not the school first and only priority in choosing their next new single fund. Must be the school’s number one goal of raising the maximum benefit with the least amount of hassles! Step # 2 – The product to sell makes a difference (but not as much as you might think) comes with the right product for your new funds make a difference, however, is not the most important factor for successful fundraising. You have probably seen this in your own neighborhood, how two schools decide to sell cookies, and both are sold at the same time and same price. But the difference in your results (profits) is HUGE! It would have to conclude that it was not the product that made the difference. So what is it that makes the big difference? Hint, see Step # 5! Step # 3 – The Time of funds as the beginning of the school year as possible When you take your fundraiser is a very important aspect of their success. Undiputed It is a fact that the first school’s sales brochure that goes to an office or neighborhood has higher sales than that comes in last. However, the timing is not the # 1 reason why schools have successful fundraisers. Hint, see Step # 5! Step 4 – Choose a dynamic person to head its new fundraiser! The thrill of a fund-raiser begins with the person at the top. The person that the new fund-raising organization sets the tone and level of emotion and affect the participation in the sale. Yes, the attitude of the sponsor of fundraising and enthusiasm are a very important role in the outcome of any new fund-raiser. Step # 5 – Program Management (how you run the fund-raising) is the number one factor in its success. Management Program is the most important element of a successful fundraising. You may know that “how” of school fundraising is key to running success, but the main problem is not raising funds for many companies sponsor training in fundraising adequate “Program Management”. Below are several key elements of Program Management: A) Setting goals for the School B) A Memorable Kick Off C) Maintaining Excitement for the Duration of the sale D) Find useful Volunteers E) To motivate students / sellers F) Encourage teachers and staff to promote the sale. To obtain the highest sales in a new fundraiser to the students and vendors must be properly motivated. You can even go so far as to provide motivation for teachers and staff members as well. The main reason will be $ 8000 elemental while another similar school will be $ 15,500, is the way they did their prizes and incentives for students and their teachers! In AIM have a saying “The students are able to sell $ 5 tickets for $ 10.00 and the real, if good enough to motivate them.” The most important part of their fundraising will be to provide incentives that really motivate their students and teachers to participate in the sale as if they have never done before! A narrow 15% increase in participation can easily double the typical school fundraisers. Participation is not difficult to increase by 15%. |

Every day I talk to people who have had their center of fund-raising program was dropped in your lap. Many times have been at work because there was nobody else to do. In all cases, their main concern is that they do a better job at the school in fund-raising campaign that made the previous year. Imagine the pressure of running a sale so that the school actually makes less than they did last year. Now that is what I call pressure!
To make your life a little easier here is a simple guide to make sure your school fundraising events achieve their goals and functioning smoothly. Ie, that are cost effective and hassle free. 1. Setting a target The first thing to do is determine how much money has to grow. Take into consideration the expenses they may have. Reach an exact figure on how much you can increase the need to be a pretty big task. It also helps your cause so that instead of “general” goals. Running a school fundraising campaign with the aim of increasing as much as possible “is very difficult to inform parents of their students, and probably will not get much support. If you find that you do not really have anything pressing that you need to raise money for, it is better to give parents a break and simply choose not to do a fundraiser. 2. Determine your time. When conducting a fundraiser you must set a timetable. It is advisable to consult a professional fundraiser, if you are planning to make any sale. They can help you determine a schedule that allows you enough time to conduct their fundraising activities. They can even help you plan your calendar of events around so that the Fall Carnival will not interfere with its sale, the sale of your product and not interrupt your Book Day and so on. 3. What is your target audience? Determine who will be your guidance in raising funds. Ask yourself is do you want your school to raise money selling a product or a family type of fundraising event as an auction or carnival. Or, is it necessary to try to raise more money by selling a product such as cookie dough or Christmas wrap. Each of these types of funds have their own application in different schools. There are some schools that do a spaghetti dinner and ten of thousands of them, while others barely expenses. 4. Incentives. I discovered that the prizes given in a particular school in the fund raising program is more successful than any other factor. A school could sell about five and ten dollar bills do very well if you motivate students and parents successfully. One misconception about prize incentives is that many believe the bigger the prize will be for sale. If one of the prizes for the top seller is an issue that is the rage that year, then you have a better sale. Do not fall into this trap. The power of school fundraising is in the size of the group, which does not sell at $ 1000 worth of “stuff”. Think about it, and have not sold more than 2 students $ 1,000 and a 25% participation in the sale? Or has a lot more profit if it had 40% participation and no one sells more than $ 80.00? When you think about it, gets the prize for most children to sell $ 80 is much more important than the grand prize of 2 children who are sold for $ 1000! What is really sad is that most funds do not receive much less than half the fundraising for PTA President! 5. Promotion How will you promote your funds? One of the best ways to promote your fundraising campaign is by throwing a lot of memories. When it is time to raise funds for the school, be sure to send a letter or an e-mail to parents well before the sale starts. Send another letter home with information from your sales brochure. Parents can be busy and sometimes things slip your mind. Although this guide is aimed at groups of schools or the education system are the basic steps involved in any fundraising. Use these steps to plan their events. If you spend some time in planning and make sure you’re sticking with the plan, you will find that your school fundraisers will go as planned. |
