What does the school raise funds for a school that can make fantastic profits and another school doing the same thing you can do wrong? Here is a story that give you a clue to answer this question. Once upon a time there were two schools with the same number of students who either had to raise funds to pay expenses for the year! Both groups were similar in the neighborhoods in the same kind of small town USA, so that everyone thought would get similar benefits from fundraising. The first group had just over 100 students. Everyone was excited about the upcoming fund-raising and decided to try a very popular fundraising! Everyone was excited to have their fund raising program in progress. The other school also had the same number of students. We chose to do the fund raising program that the other group did! Although both were in similar areas not far from each other. Therefore, do not compete for the same customers. Both groups decided to start selling the same day. Actually there was only one difference in each school. The school decided to make his first sale, as they had been doing for many years. The second school made a little change in the “how” that ran its fund-raiser. The first group completed the sale and $ 1450 in profits. They were very happy because this was the same as they had been doing for years! That is, until he heard were happy about the results of the second school. The first group of sales and raised $ 1400 finished! The few changes made in the way he conducted his fund-raising campaign was so minor that few people from the other school can say what it was. Not that it was a secret scheme. There was nothing that happened was that Underhanded. Everything was in the open for all to see. Indeed, that is exactly why the second school, did well. It’s because everyone knows the secret of the change is the reason that it did much more in profit. But still remains a mystery how the second school is a big difference in your results? Hint: The answer is not in the percentage of profit. In fact, the first group was given a 3% discount for registering early. Therefore, the percentage of profit is not why we did a lot more money. The answer will surprise you. You probably think that makes much sense when you understand what you did differently. Because it’s something you see every day, but for some reason most companies do not help raise funds to their schools and connect the dots for application to its funds. Just do not understand why, but that is how it is. Well, actually, to understand why. But there is nothing I can do with respect to all other fundraisi business but mine. All I can do is make sure that my school know what it is and how to do it at your school. |
